My Story
Hi! I'm Gemma.
I am a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with over 15 years of experience working in the NHS, supporting children and young people across early years, primary, and secondary settings. My practice is grounded in a child-centred, neuro-affirming approach that values and respects each child’s individual communication profile.
I am passionate about building communication confidence and creating inclusive, supportive environments where children feel heard and understood. I work closely with families, educators, and wider networks to provide holistic, meaningful support that empowers children to reach their full potential.

I have a particular interest in working with children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, recognising the deep connection between communication, emotional wellbeing, and learning.
Promoting self-advocacy is also a core part of my work. I aim to equip children and young people with the tools and confidence to understand and express their needs, helping them to navigate school, relationships, and daily life with a stronger sense of agency.
